Last month Wouter, Zoey and I visited my parents in law while they were on a little vacation on Texel, one of the Dutch islands. Like always, I did some online research for cool places to eat and drink. I ended up on the website of Peek Streetfood bar in Den Burg, and the pictures looked amazing. Good burgers and an awesome interior.
Thankfully I was able to convince my in-laws to go here for dinner that night, so we made reservations. A good thing we did, because all the tables were full that evening. We first had some bread with different kind of spreads. Then I had a delicious vegetarian burger, Wouter and my father-in-law had an enormous steak, my mother-in-law had entrecote and my sis-in-law had a burger too. It was delicious! And even though we were stuffed, we decided to order dessert and we had a delicious piece of cheececake with strawberries and blueberries.
At Peek Streetfood bar they use as much local products as possible. The meat is from Texel, the cheese, butter, eggs, potatoes and lots of the veggies and herbs are as well. They even serve Texels beer and gin!
