When I received a bottle of Amarula, I couldn’t wait to try it. It was Tuesday morning, so I had to wait a bit, lol. On Friday afternoon it was finally time, so I made this delicious cocktail which I could photograph with the last bit of daylight.
What you need:
- Amarula
- Triple Sec
- Cane sugar
- Lime
- Mint leaves
- Ice cubes
A nice glass and a cool straw is always fun too!
Instructions voor 1 glass:
- Start with making the suger rim on the glass. Put som Amarula on a small plate and some cane sugar on another plate. Dip the rim of your glass in the Amarula and then in the cane sugar.
- Put two ice cubes in the glass and slice up the lime. Make a cut from the middle so you can slide it over the rim of the glass.
- Add 30 ml Amarula, 15 ml Triple Sec and 1 teaspoon lime juice in a cocktail shaker or glass, stir well and pour it over the ice cubes in the glass.
- Finish it with some mint leaves and a cute straw. I cut one in two, so it’s more suitable for the glass I used.
