We were lucky that the San Diego County Fair was there during our trip. We loved experiencing something so typical American. A huge fair with over 80 rides and loads of food stalls with so much crazy (for us) types of food. Like turkey legs, fried everything, all the candy you can think of, cookies, corn dogs, hot dogs, pizza, bacon in chocolate, donuts, cinnamon rolls, you name it! If you’re curious, you can see the food stall map here. There weren’t a lot of healthy options, but Wouters favorite was Hawaiian barbecued chicken with pineapple and rice, served in a pineapple. Barenaked Ladies Concert
There’s a different concert every night and when we were there, there was a Barenaked Ladies concert. We didn’t really knew the band, but when we looked them up in Spotify we found out they made the title song for The Big Bang Theory, one of our favorite TV shows. The rest of the concert was amazing, such a fun band, it wasn’t really a problem we didn’t knew any of the other songs, it was a great show anyway!
